Fleeting Friendship

A seemingly fitting poem for the death of a friendship that clearly meant less than it should have.

Near Enough

Parting is such sorrow
So say goodbye tomorrow
Romance is so tragic
And dying is such magic

You slip away
But where do you go?
And if you stay
How could you ever know?

You're dying alone now
Our love has gone home now
You scream and I hear you
Still no one is near you enough
Near enough to watch you die
